Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions form the agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and Little Village Antenatal (“we”, “us”, “our”) when you book and attend a course with us. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Little Village Antenatal is a sole trader business providing antenatal education services in England.

2. Our Courses

Little Village Antenatal provides in-person antenatal education courses designed to support expectant parents through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

Courses may include:

  • Antenatal education sessions 

  • Infant feeding sessions delivered by external specialists 

  • Paediatric first aid sessions delivered by external trainers 

  • Postnatal reunion sessions 

Courses are booked per couple (or birthing parent and birth partner).

Group sizes are intentionally kept small to support a comfortable and inclusive environment.

Course content, timings, and session structure may occasionally vary where reasonably necessary.

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Course Fees

Course fees are displayed on our website at the time of booking.

3.2 Payment Options

Payment may be made:

  • In full at the time of booking, or 

  • Via an agreed instalment plan 

Instalment arrangements are offered at our discretion.

3.3 Payment Deadline

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment must be received no later than 10 days before the course start date.

If payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and offer the place to another participant.

3.4 Payment Methods

Payments may be accepted via:

  • Debit or credit card 

  • PayPal 

  • Apple Pay 

  • Other payment methods listed on our website 

Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. We do not store full card details.

4. Consumer Cancellation Rights

4.1 Your Legal Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your booking within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund, provided that:

  • the course has not started, and 

  • no services have already been provided during that period. 

If you request that the course begins within the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that:

  • you may lose your right to a full refund once services have started, and 

  • any refund may be adjusted to reflect services already provided. 

5. Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers

5.1 Cancellation by You

If you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period, the following refund terms apply:

More than 14 days before the course start date:

  • 75% refund 

7–14 days before the course start date:

  • 50% refund 

Less than 7 days before the course start date:

  • No refund 

Once the course has started:

  • No refunds will be issued except where required by law. 

Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe using the original payment method where possible.

5.2 Transfers

Requests to transfer to another course will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability.

We reserve the right to charge reasonable administrative costs associated with transfers where appropriate.

5.3 Missed Sessions

If you are unable to attend a session:

  • we may offer a catch-up session (typically online), and/or 

  • provide relevant course materials. 

Missed sessions are non-refundable.

5.4 Cancellation or Rescheduling by Us

We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule courses where reasonably necessary.

Where this occurs, we will:

  • offer an alternative course date where possible, or 

  • provide a full refund if an alternative is not suitable. 

We are not responsible for additional costs incurred by participants, including travel, accommodation, childcare, or loss of earnings.

5.5 Minimum Numbers

Courses require a minimum number of participants to run effectively.

If minimum numbers are not reached, we may:

  • transfer your booking to another course, 

  • reschedule the course, or 

  • provide a full refund. 

6. Attendance and Participant Responsibilities

6.1 Attendance

Bookings are valid only for the named participants included in the booking.

6.2 Respectful Environment

We aim to create a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.

Participants agree to:

  • treat others respectfully, 

  • avoid discriminatory, abusive, or disruptive behaviour, and 

  • respect the privacy and confidentiality of other attendees. 

Personal stories or information shared during sessions should remain confidential.

6.3 Recording and Photography

To protect the privacy and comfort of participants:

  • audio or video recording is not permitted, and 

  • photography is not permitted unless expressly authorised. 

6.4 Removal from Sessions

We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove attendees whose behaviour is:

  • disruptive, 

  • threatening, 

  • discriminatory, or 

  • inappropriate. 

In such circumstances, refunds will not normally be provided.

7. Health, Safety and Medical Disclaimer

7.1 Educational Purpose

All course content is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Our courses are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You should always seek advice from your:

  • midwife, 

  • GP, or 

  • healthcare provider regarding medical concerns. 

7.2 Physical Activities

Some sessions may involve optional light movement or practical exercises.

You are responsible for participating only to the extent you feel comfortable and medically able.

7.3 Illness and Infection Control

If you or your birth partner are unwell or may be contagious, we ask that you do not attend in person.

Where reasonably possible, alternative arrangements may be offered.

8. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence, 

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or 

  • any liability that cannot legally be excluded. 

Subject to the above:

  • participation in courses is at your own discretion, and 

  • Little Village Antenatal shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses. 

We are not responsible for:

  • individual decisions made following course attendance, 

  • birth outcomes, or 

  • actions taken by third-party healthcare providers. 

9. Insurance and Professional Memberships

Little Village Antenatal maintains appropriate public liability insurance.

Professional memberships or accreditations may change from time to time.

10. Third-Party Providers

Certain sessions may be delivered by independent third-party professionals.

While we take reasonable care when selecting providers, those professionals are independently responsible for:

  • their advice, 

  • qualifications, and 

  • service delivery. 

11. Data Protection and Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information collected may include:

  • names, 

  • contact details, 

  • due dates, and 

  • relevant course information. 

Your information is used only for:

  • course delivery, 

  • communication, 

  • administration, and 

  • related business purposes.

12. Intellectual Property

All course materials, resources, handouts, and content remain the intellectual property of Little Village Antenatal unless otherwise stated.

Materials may not be:

  • copied, 

  • reproduced, 

  • distributed, or 

  • shared commercially 

without prior written permission.

13. Complaints

We aim to:

  • acknowledge complaints within 5 working days, and 

  • respond fully within 14 working days where reasonably possible. 

14. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • illness, 

  • venue unavailability, 

  • severe weather, 

  • transport disruption, 

  • government restrictions, or 

  • emergencies. 

Where possible, we will:

  • reschedule sessions, 

  • offer alternative arrangements, or 

  • provide refunds where appropriate. 

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
